Communicate your vision

GE Global eXchange Services

In the hype-ridden late nineties, GE Global eXchange Services had a tough communications challenge: Show business prospects why its 50-year-old data-transmission technology was superior to those of emerging competitors like Ariba and CommerceOne. XPLANE developed a visual depiction the CEO's vision: How Global eXchange Services delivered value to the entire business ecosystem. Prospects and customers understood the vision and signed up. Global eXchange Services is one of the biggest transaction-services firms in the world for Fortune 500 companies, second only to IBM. In 2002, GE spun out the company and pocketed $800 million, retaining a 10% stake, while Ariba and CommerceOne collectively lost more than $1.25 billion. | Global eXchange Services
